Warriors of the Dystotheque
Warriors of the Dystotheque are composed of DJs/Producers/Engineers Jonny Mac, Sean Graham, and Mike and Nick Rufolo. Based across Derry, Coventry, Toulon and NYC, it’s fair to say that WotD bring a broad range of influences to bear, and these eclectic backgrounds have fed into a decade of touring gigs and collaborations with artists such as Orbital, the Prodigy, The Happy Mondays, Saint Etienne and more.
The group’s previous EPs have received radio play from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, RTE and many more. With their latest EP, We’re Taking Control, set to build on the murky electro and breakbeat style already established on their earlier works, 2017 promises to be the year that this cross-Atlantic collective steal the limelight.
After a multitude of online press, reviews and radio coverage, Warriors of the Dystotheque are preparing to release their debut album through their Fly Beat Music label on 26th January. Their debut album features a host of guest vocalists, including Pop Will Eat Itself’s Graham Crabb. The band have already been interviewed by Stephen McCauley on Electric Mainline to promote the album, as well as being featured on various online outlets. From strength to strength, indeed.
We’re Taking Control (ft. Pop Will Eat Itself) by Warriors of the Dystotheque is out now.
